Next New Chapter in my life.


Hello, EVERYONE!

I know I closed this blog about a year ago and stated that the mysteries of my life online would begin. Alas, God has given me another chapter to open and so I make my return.

This new chapter in my life has to do with religion; more specifically, which denomination I feel God is pulling me towards. This has been an ongoing battle since last Easter when I no longer felt God at my church, but has taken me months to reconcile with the idea.

For the longest time, I thought I would stay an Evangelist until the time was appropriate for me to convert to my husband's religion. Totally makes sense, right? A lot of people do that. They convert for their spouses. However, in my heart I know I would not be able to do this even if I was madly in love with my husband because it would question the integrity of my faith. And as many of you may know; I've fought for my faith in more ways than one.

In any case, I'm starting this blog up, again, to invite you all on my journey as I explore religion. It's not going to be easy but it should make for an interesting story, so stay tuned.

First, I want to state that its been a very long time since I've written a post. It's not due to the lack of thoughts and emptiness in my spiritual growth; it has been simply due to the fact that 24 hours really is not enough time. Working on me and God.

It's funny how every time when I'm at a complete loss for works or direction in life this is the place I find myself. My blog. The beginning of my "adult" perception of the world. The version of myself that I hope and believe is this all-knowing person because I have aged and is now 'woken.' But the true reality is that I'm dreadfully lost and blessed at the same time. It is easy to find oneself in utter despair and forget one's blessing but it takes another level of 'wokeness' to realize that not all aspects of your life are as shitty as you think. For one, I am truly blessed to have Mark in my life. I love him dearly and often reminded of his love on a daily basis. I could have never imagined that God would bring him into my life last year when I thought all was lost and that I would die from the loneliness that covid created. I AM.

I am strong. I am beautiful. I am kind. And most importantly, I am worthy of love and affection. I wish I could tell you that these thoughts have been nurtured and running through my veins for all 32 years of my existence on this earth but that is very far from reality. Up until about a few months ago, I felt the absolute opposite.  I grew up thriving on my self-worth solely on the thoughts and feelings I received from men. Always feeling insecure in my body and my lack of ‘coolness’ is and has been my general motif. For those who don’t know, I snapped at one point last year and chopped off all my hair. Though this seems like a normal task for most girls, it was a huge step for me. It was at that moment I chose myself over the thoughts of many.
